以下のオプションをつけて configure およびコンパイルを確認しています。
./configure (--with-libiconv=/usr/local) --with-automount --with-smbmount --with-pam --with-pam_smbpass --with-ldapsam --with-syslog --with-utmp --with-winbind --with-ldap --with-ads --with-smbwrapper --with-sys-quotas --with-acl-support
Samba 3.0.25 以降は以下のオプションも追加しています
--with-dnsupdate
CentOS 4.4
以下のパッケージ（および依存関係にあるパッケージ）が必要です。
- gcc
- pam-devel
- openldap-dev
- krb5-devel
Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 および 4.0
以下のパッケージ（および依存関係にあるパッケージ）が必要です。
- gcc
- make
- libc6-dev
- libpam0g-dev
- libldap2-dev
